The government/state keeps us secure and protects us from 'the enemy'...or do they? I took my inspiration for the typeface from a satelite image of an airfield taken by a commercial satelite. The most 'secure' of all commercial travel areas is able to be photographed
and infiltrated, open to a number of unknown sources. The concept was to create an un-easy, slightly awkward display type out of something that we perceive to be secure. Ironic.
BIOG:
Studied Graphic Design at London Guildhall University - 2000-2003. Graduated
with a BA Hons 2.1
Worked for 6 months in a design/marketing agency working on commercial
projects for clients such as Wella and Vodafone.
Won the Design Indaba competition from CR and spent 6 days in Cape Town
networking and meeting international designers
6 months freelance working on mareting material for restaurants and marketing
companies in and around the Newbury area.
At present am the Designer for a design/print company
based in Newbury, Berks.
